Learning Journey

The program is organized into six modules that will be delivered in concentrated sessions throughout the year at KAPSARC School of Public Policy (KSPP) in partnership with the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) and Hertie School.

Module 1: Leadership Essentials 

Dates: September 8 – October 12, 2025 (Online)

  • Learn how to manage power effectively and translate it into leadership influence.
  • Master the core principles of influencing and persuading others.
  • Develop skills in performance management and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Learn how to create, manage, and lead high-performing, agile, and creative teams.
  • Practice managing virtual or inherited teams effectively.
  • Receive personalized coaching throughout the journey.

Module 2: Driving AI with Impact and Introduction to the Enterprise Project

Dates: December 8 – 11, 2025

  • Open the “black box” of AI to understand what AI is and what it is not.
  • Learn how AI agents are designed and how they will impact future organizations and jobs.
  • Explore forming AI-human teams to leverage human skills with AI tools.
  • Understand how AI can enhance leadership, negotiation, and coaching abilities.
  • Analyze mega-trends shaping the future (economies, demographics, urbanization, climate change).
  • Get introduced to the Business Model Canvas for designing and documenting business models.
  • Launch your Enterprise Project using design thinking and strategic management tools.

Module 3: Introduction to Developing Policies & Enterprise Project Review I

Dates: January 26 – 29, 2026

  • Understand the importance of policy development in organizations and governments.
  • Learn the full policy development cycle: problem identification, formulation, adoption, and evaluation.
  • Explore stakeholder engagement, evidence-based decision-making, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Analyze successful policy cases from energy sectors in Germany, Denmark, Spain, China, and Costa Rica.
  • Conduct policy analysis using SWOT, cost-benefit, and impact assessments.
  • Present and review initial Enterprise Project ideas with a focus on benchmarking against best practices.

Module 4: New Business Fundamentals and Value Creation and Enterprise Project Review II

Location: KAPSARC School of Public Policy

Dates: April 12 – 15, 2026

  • Understand the structure and limitations of financial statements for business decision-making.
  • Learn how value is created through internal operations, investments, and financing activities.
  • Explore financial tools for investment evaluation and company valuation.
  • Understand how financing decisions (equity vs. debt) impact value creation.
  • Study mergers, acquisitions, and industry structure changes to maximize shareholder value.
  • Learn strategies for managing businesses during turbulent economic times.
  • Conduct a second Enterprise Project review to refine and strengthen project proposals.

Module 5: Discovery Expedition

In-Person (International Expedition – Sweden)

Dates: June 8 – 12, 2026

  • Benchmark best practices and bring back ideas for enterprise projects.

Module 6: Future Energy Enterprise, Project Presentation, and Graduation

Dates: September 6 – 8, 2026

  • During the program, participants will complete a capstone project. The project will provide an opportunity to synthesize learning and showcase capabilities. The capstone serves as a comprehensive demonstration of the knowledge, skills, and competencies gained throughout the program.
