Nadia B. Ahmad is an Associate Professor at the KAPSARC School of Public Policy (KSPP) and Professor of Law at Barry University, currently on leave. Her scholarship spans energy and environmental governance, sustainable development, climate resilience, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence and geospatial analysis to public policy. She has published more than 60 scholarly articles and book chapters and has ten books published or forthcoming, including the Research Handbook of Environmental Law and Artificial Intelligence (2027). Her work has been supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Yale Planetary Solutions, and the National Science Foundation.
She is a Lead Coordinating Author for the “Science, Technology and Innovation for a Resilient Planet” chapter of the UNESCO Science Report 2027. She was part of the global coalition awarded the 2023 United Nations Human Rights Prize for securing recognition of the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. Previously, she was the inaugural Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Law at Pace Law School and a Visiting Associate Professor at Yale Law School. She holds a PhD in Environmental Studies from Yale University.
