Academic Fellowship Program

The Two-Year Academic Fellowship Program at the KAPSARC School of Public Policy (KSPP) is designed to invest in the next generation of academics. Targeting Master’s degree holders who are expected to secure provisional acceptance into Ph.D. programs, the fellowship aims to equip emerging scholars with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to excel in academia. Through a comprehensive and interdisciplinary experience, the program cultivates young academics by enhancing their research capabilities and preparing them for impactful careers in public policy. Following completion of Ph.D., fellows return to KSPP for at least one year as a faculty member to contribute their expertise and help shape the future of public policy.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing lectures and supporting the development of course materials.
  • Collaborate with KSPP faculty and KAPSARC experts on research projects.
  • Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and academic knowledge.
  • Submit an annual report on duties and progress.

Academic Qualification

Minimum GPA equivalent to “Very Good.”
Graduation from a master’s program between 2022 and 2026.

Academic Background

A master’s degree in a field aligned with KSPP priorities, such as Law, Economics, Political Science, Information Technology, Public Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Sociology, Engineering, Sustainability, Environment, or Public Policy. The degree must be from either one of the top 30 universities or one of the top 10 programs in subject ranking, based on QS rankings in the year of admission to the master’s program.

GMAT or GRE test score

Applicants who are not graduates of the top 30 universities or top 10 subject-ranked programs must submit a minimum GMAT score of 600 or GRE score of 300.

Interview
