Princeton University Students’ visit to the KAPSARC School of Public Policy

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – October 16, 2024
KAPSARC School of Public Policy (KSPP) had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from Princeton University, fostering meaningful academic exchange and collaboration.

The visit commenced with a meeting at KAPSARC, where master’s students from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs engaged with our experts on pivotal topics, including hydrogen, critical minerals, the fundamentals of Saudi Arabia’s economy, and the Kingdom’s priorities in global sustainability and the Circular Carbon Economy.

Following this, the delegation proceeded to KSPP for a roundtable discussion on Saudi economic diversification. The session was complemented by in-depth discussions with KSPP students on Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and its influence on global governance, the implications of public policy and governance in the context of Saudi Arabia’s evolving economy, and the role of emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, and renewable energy in driving Saudi Arabia’s vision for a diversified, non-oil-based economy. The day concluded with a lively debate between Princeton University’s delegation and KSPP’s Master of Public Policy (MPP) students. Both sides shared insights on key topics related to Saudi Arabia and the GCC, with KSPP students offering valuable perspectives on the region’s economic evolution. This dynamic exchange fostered a vibrant atmosphere of learning and mutual understanding.

The visit was a testament to the strong academic ties and global engagement at KSPP, showcasing our commitment to knowledge-sharing and collaboration with leading institutions worldwide.
